What to Expect from Laser Hair Removal

You will need to follow pre-treatment instructions given to you by Dr. Schoenhaus to make laser hair removal as effective as possible. These instructions may include:

Before the procedure, your hair in the targeted area will be trimmed to just a few millimeters. The laser may be adjusted based on your hair’s location, color, and thickness.

After laser hair removal, your skin will be cleaned and sunblock will be applied. You will experience redness in your skin that may last from 15 minutes to a full hour. Though you may immediately return to your normal routine, it is recommended to avoid exposing the treated area to sunlight, as this can make laser hair removal less effective.
